Washington County Inmate Roster
Washington County links its "In Custody" lookup to the Sheriff's Zuercher portal. The public inmate route is labeled Current Inmates, and the configuration limits the search to current custody. It also suppresses juvenile records, uses age format rather than full date of birth, and does not show hold reasons in the public configuration. That means the roster is useful for custody status, but it is not a full charge, conviction, mugshot, or criminal history database.
The jail is the Washington County Jail, also identified in the research as the James R. Johnston Justice Facility, at 262 E Court Street, Weiser, Idaho 83672. The county jail page lists the jail phone as 208-414-2124 and fax as 208-414-3511. It also identifies inmate communication through HomeWAV and inmate commissary through CorrectPay, but it does not publish a full visitation schedule, mail policy, deposit fee schedule, or property rule list in the captured official text.

The jail page is the local starting point for custody lookup, communication, commissary, PREA, VINE, active warrants, and in-custody links.
Search Washington County Inmates
The Zuercher inmate search uses filters and columns chosen in the county's public configuration. The active public fields include name, race, sex, in-custody date, arrest date, and release date. Some template fields exist in the underlying product, but Washington County's public column list does not expose every possible field.
- Open the Washington County Sheriff's Zuercher portal and choose the current inmates route.
- Search by name first when the spelling is known.
- Use race, sex, arrest date, or release date only when those details help narrow a broad result.
- Check whether the person is still listed as in custody on the current-inmate date.
- Call the jail at 208-414-2124 if the roster is unclear, recent, or missing a person expected to be in custody.
- Search iCourt separately for charges, hearing dates, bond events, and disposition.

The Zuercher route is current-custody focused, so it should be paired with court and state searches when the person has moved beyond county jail.
Washington County Inmate Search Fields
The public roster search-field inventory shows the fields that can be used to filter Washington County current inmates. These fields are not the same as a court charge list. They are jail roster search fields, and the public configuration may omit internal booking details.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Options or Format Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Text | Optional | Public filter available. |
| Race | Dropdown or combobox | Optional | Options load in the portal. |
| Sex | Dropdown or combobox | Optional | Options load in the portal. |
| In Custody On | Date | Default or locked | Public config limits the roster to current inmates today. |
| Arrest Date | Date | Optional | Public filter available. |
| Release Date | Date | Optional | Available even though the route focuses on current custody. |
| Search or Reset | Button | N/A | Runs or clears the roster search. |
What Washington County Inmate Records Show
The sample inmate-profile inventory is limited by the county's public configuration. The template supports several fields, but the available public columns captured for Washington County are name, race, sex, arrest date, and release date. The configuration says show juveniles is false and show hold reasons is false. Use the visible roster fields for custody status, then use iCourt for formal charges and case events.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The public name field for a listed current inmate. |
| Race | Roster demographic field when shown. |
| Sex | Roster demographic field when shown. |
| Age | The configuration uses age format, not full public date of birth. |
| Arrest Date | Date tied to the local custody event. |
| Release Date | Release date field when the public result shows it. |
| Hold Reasons or Charges | Template supports hold reasons, but Washington County public config says this is hidden. |
| Juveniles | Public configuration suppresses juvenile records. |
Note: A jail roster entry can exist before a final court disposition, so do not read current custody as a conviction.
Washington County Jail Contact
The jail and sheriff facilities are next to the courthouse justice offices in Weiser. The Sheriff's Office page lists dispatch, civil, jail, driver license, and records numbers. The jail page names Robert Rebman as Jail Lt, Casey Waite as Sgt, and Derek Lyman as Cpl in its personnel block.

Weiser, ID 83672
Jail phone: 208-414-2124
Fax: 208-414-3511
Sheriff's Office hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Sheriff's Records Department is also at 262 E Court Street and uses phone 208-414-2121. That office is the fallback for public records requests involving sheriff reports, citations, criminal investigation paperwork, and law-enforcement records that are not court case documents.
The Sheriff's Office also lists civil paper service, courtroom security, driver licenses, concealed weapons permits, and patrol work for Weiser, Midvale, Cambridge, rural roads, and waterways. Those duties explain why a single sheriff phone tree may route a caller to jail staff, dispatch, civil service, or records depending on whether the question is custody, warrant service, a report, or a court-related security issue.
Washington County Booking to Court
A local custody record usually starts with an arrest or citation by the sheriff, city police, Idaho State Police, or another agency. If the person is booked locally, jail intake creates custody records. The Magistrate Court page lists in-custody arraignments Monday through Friday at 1:00 p.m., so the first court appearance may follow soon after booking. Bond, court dates, charge filing, and case events then move into iCourt when a court case exists.
The court charge and case file may not match every field a family member sees in the roster. A jail record can show custody status. A court record can show charges filed, hearings, plea, disposition, sentence, fines, and warrants. For the arrest-to-charge path, Washington County arrest records and court charges explain the difference between the booking side and the prosecutor-filed charge side.
Washington County Jail Visits
The official jail page identifies HomeWAV for inmate communication and CorrectPay for commissary. The accessible county text does not publish a full in-person visitation schedule, video visit price, dress code, approved visitor list rule, mail format, commissary order schedule, or deposit fee schedule. Because those details can affect whether a visit, call, or deposit succeeds, confirm current rules directly with the jail or the named vendor before sending money or trying to visit.
| Topic | Official Detail Located | What to Confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Jail phone | 208-414-2124 | Current custody, visit rules, and communication access. |
| Inmate communication | HomeWAV shown on jail page | Account setup, scheduling, devices, prices, and approval rules. |
| Commissary or money | CorrectPay shown on jail page | Deposit methods, fees, timing, and accepted payment types. |
| In-person visitation | No official schedule captured | Days, hours, visitor ID, dress code, and approval list. |
| No full mail policy captured | Envelope format, publications, photos, money orders, and legal mail handling. |

IDOC becomes relevant after a person leaves local jail for state prison, probation, parole, or other IDOC jurisdiction.
Washington County Inmate Fallbacks
The county roster is not the last place to search after a case changes stage. The IDOC Resident/Client Search covers individuals on court probation or under IDOC jurisdiction, including incarcerated persons, probationers, and parolees. It can also list people who served time and satisfied their sentence, but it does not list their convictions. Search by last name or IDOC number. Partial last-name searches require at least the first two characters, and IDOC-number searches require at least the first three digits.
Federal custody uses the Bureau of Prisons locator, not the Washington County jail roster or Idaho iCourt. A federal inmate from Washington County would not continue to appear on the local roster after transfer to BOP custody. Federal records may also involve the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho and federal PACER systems rather than local court records.
The federal locator image below comes from the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator.
Use BOP only for federal custody, and use the county jail or IDOC routes for local or Idaho state custody questions.
Washington County Inmate Safety Reports
The jail friends and family PREA material says third parties who believe an incarcerated friend or family member may be at risk or may be a victim of abuse or harassment can report by telling a staff member or deputy in person or by telephone, writing to the Sheriff's Office at 262 E Court Street, Weiser, Idaho 83672, or informing another local law-enforcement agency such as Weiser Police Department. The material says no report will be overlooked and that allegations of sexual abuse or harassment will be investigated.
VINE is also named by the jail page as the nation's leading victim notification network. Treat VINE as a notification channel for custody changes and victim information, not as a replacement for the court docket, jail roster, or direct jail confirmation. For urgent safety concerns, use the sheriff or jail phone channel rather than waiting for a public web update.
